Are You Growing Weeds or Flowers? The Law of Thinking

The Law of Thinking is the first Universal Law I will cover in the series I introduced last week. Although most think of thoughts as just ideas, images, and words swirling around privately in our minds until we express them with words, Thoughts are actually energetic waves.

Holliwell, the author of "Working with the Law," explains, "It is an actual force or substance, as real as electricity, light, heat, water, or even stones/crystals. We are surrounded by a vast ocean of 'thought stuff' through which our thoughts pass like currents of electricity or tiny streaks of light or musical waves. You can flash your thoughts from pole to pole, completely around the world many times in less than a single second."

Modern science now has developed instrumentation that can measure thought wave patterns not only in the brain (such as electroencephalagrams) but extending from the brain as well. Scientists tell us that thought compares with the speed of light–thousands of times faster than the sound of our voice.

What you think causes an energetic frequency that influences not only how you feel, but how others feel around you. In fact, you can event influence the energetic vibration of inanimate objects. Telekinesis (the ability to move objects with one's thought) is an example of this. And your power to think is inexhaustible (though when you're really tired or stressed, it might not seem like it).

Unfortunately, we so woefully understimate the ability and impact of our thoughts–on ourselves as well as our environ. With the right use of thought, we can heal ourselves (or prevent illness altogether, establish a world of greater peace and harmony, and improve our lifestyle (and prosperity).

Since our thoughts hold a certain vibration (negative thoughts hold a lower vibration than positive thoughts, though they can have a stronger resonance and therefore overpower positive thoughts), they act like a magnet, drawing things of like frequency to them or being drawn to things of like frequency. Like attracts like.

If we hold thoughts of failure and lack in mind, we will attract things/people/circumstances holding the same frequency, therefore creating a result of "failure" and "scarcity." Likewise, if we hold thoughts of success and abundance in mind, that is what we will attract and create.

There's a great saying my former minister, LeRoy Lowell, used to say all te time (which is a Unity principle),  "Thoughts in mind produce after their kind."

"What the mind holds within, takes its form in the outer world."  Raymond Holliwell

However, abundance and scarcity are not two things; they are merely two sides of one and the same thing, just as heads and tales are two sides of the same coin. They are but one power, rightly or wrongly used in relation to the Law. Just as heat is the absence of cold, and as we focus on creating heat, the cold is absorbed into it and disappears.

Thought is always processing and producing (even during sleep). "The mind force," Holliwell recites, "is creating continually like fertile soil. Nature does not differentiate between the seed of a weed and that of a flower. She produces and causes both seeds to grow. The same energy is used for both and so it is with the mind. The mind creates either good or bad. Your ideas determine which is to be created."

What are your thoughts processing? What are you focused upon and interpreting? Are your thoughts attracting poverty or plenty/success or failure? Are you planting seeds that will produce weeds or flowers?

The lesson of the first law is, change your thoughts to change your results.

The next Law I will discuss in this series is the law of Supply.

How are your thoughts keeping you from attracting ideal clients and making more money with less effort and more fun? If your results are not what you want to be reaping, I can help you plant new seeds of thought in your mind! Schedule a complimentary MMM Strategy Session with me to identify how your thoughts are sabotaging your efforts and how you can begin to turn them around.
