Nicheing can be hard. And sometimes people can just feel so stuck in the process.

So here’s my thought of the day: If you’re totally stumped on the WHO go back to the WHAT.

I just had a kick ass conversation with my friend and colleague Rebecca Tracey of The Uncaged Life (the beauty pictured here). Besides introducing me to The Middle Finger Project (swoon!) we also had a really in depth conversation about this whole notion of niching by being more authentic so that your ideal clients can really feel if working with you is a fit, if they resonate with you.

Are You Trying to Fit In?

Does it sometimes feel like you're a square peg trying to fit into a round hole? That hole could be society's standards, your friends' and family's view or expectations of you, the standards of others in your field or niche, or what you think your prospects or clients want from you. But try as you might, you just can't seem to fit (or feel comfortable if you do manage to squeeze yourself into that hole).

If so, I encourage you to stop denying you are a square peg–and start to find a square hole! I promise you, they are out there, and when you start to seek them out, you will fall easily into them and it will finally feel "right" to you.
