lizzie velasquezInspiring People–Beauty Is On the Inside, In the Soul

I love hearing and sharing stories about people who overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles, went for their dreams despite what others might have said or done, show us what's possible when we believe (or others believe in us) and never give up, and demonstrate admirable behavior and integrity–even when others might try to convince them not to.

Here's another example of someone who chose to feel good about themselves despite others' trying to make them feel bad, and to set big goals for their life despite physical challenges that would make others play small. [Read more…]

God Wants You to Be Wealthy

One of the dilemmas of holisitc practitioners and spiritual business owners that keeps them from having monetarily successful businesses is the seeming contradiction between helping people/being spiritual and making money.

I've heard if from my peers, my clients, and even my own inner voice (usually in the tone of my maternal Grandfather). Just as I've had to work on it with myself (greatly improved but it still reappears from time to time, especially when I try to move up another level in income), this belief in its many forms shows up in all of my business clients to some degree and in various stages.

Thanks to some wonderul coaches and mentors, I have learned that God wants me to be abundant more than I want it, and accept this idea more and more in my life. I  in turn help my clients understand and accept it, too, in a way that opens them up to allow more abundance in.

Greatness Is In All Of Us–Business Tips from the Olympics (and Nike)–Video

Have you been watching the incredible athletes from around the world the past week in the 2012 Olympics from London? I've been nearly glued to my TV in the evenings (and trying to avoid internet pages that might post the results beforehand and spoil it for me).

Aside from watching the actual competitions, I love the stories they highlight on various athletes and what they've gone through in their pursuit of excellence.

Yet, as I shared in my post last week, you don't have to be an Olympian to be considered great. In fact, you don't even need to make headlines. We all have the capability for greatness within each of us. See the video below that exemplifies this.

Are You Hanging Out with Turkeys or Eagles?

Hi all! Just a quick blog post today 'cuz I'm getting ready to head to bed after a long 12-hour day at a business training seminar with my 7-figure business coach, Pamela Bruner, in Atlanta, Georgia.

I've been able to connect again with my Mastermind Group along with some awesome and really successful peeps that I formerly only knew on line–Matthew Goldfarb, Re Perez, Gene Montaraselli, Cynthia Kersey, and Margaret Lynch (if you don't know who any of these people are, Google them and connect with them through their online resources!) Here's a picture of me with them at dinner Thursday night (except Cynthia and Margaret).

Inspiring People–Man Transforms through Power of Belief

I love hearing and sharing stories about people who overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles, went for their dreams despite what others might have said or done, show us what's possible when we believe (or others believe in us) and never give up, and demonstrate admirable behavior and integrity–even when others might try to convince them not to.

Here's another example of someone who chose to believe something more was possible for him–and willing fall down over and over again in order to finally stand on his own. [Read more…]

How Are You Living Your “Dash”?

I shared this poem/video with a client of mine yesterday as an inspirational reminder of why she was making sacrifices and staying in motion to make progress with her business ventures. What does it all matter? Why should we care what we do every day?

“I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the date on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end.
He noted that the first came the date of her birth
And spoke of the following date with tears
But what he said mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years.”

Inspiring People–Nick Vujicic

I love hearing about and sharing stories about people that overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles, went for their dreams despite what others might have said or done, show us what’s possible when we believe and ever give up, and demonstrate admirable behavior and integrity–even when others might try to convince them not to or when they didn’t even know anyone was noticing.

Here’s a great example of someone who chose not to be defined by his apparent “lack” or differences, that will bring you both a tear and a smile! (And rethink what’s possible for YOU.) [Read more…]
